The award ceremony for the 38th Best Dresser Awards took place on Thursday. This year, the two winners were in the category of entertainment model and singer Anna Tsuchiya (25), who is currently five months pregnant and actor Katsunori Takahashi (44).

Movie director Yojiro Takita (53) received the award in the category of culture. The other two winners were Yokohama Mayor Fumiko Hayashi (63) in the category of politics and conductor Tomomi Nishimura in the international category.

Actress Miho Kanno (32) is in a new drama series on NTV star this winter. Under the title “Magerarenai Onna”, the drama is an original story by scriptwriter Kazuhiko Yukawa.

Fuji TV has been revealed to be holding their ‘2009 FNS Music Festival this December 2nd. A list of 23 artists. Big Bang was added to the list and TVXQ. Some others are on the list, V6, Kinki Kids, Hirai Ken, Arashi , EXILE, Koda Kumi, Ayaka, Aoyama teru, speed, etc.

On 26 November Big Bang is also in the “Best Hits Song Festival, which will be broadcast by Nippon TV.

Fuji TV plans to broadcast the drama near the start of 2010.

Noriko Sakai Comeback to University

Noriko Sakai, she get a suspended notice sentence last week during on charges of drug use and possession, visited Souzou Gakuen University (The University of Creation; Art, Music & Social Work) in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, on Wednesday. Sakai, 38, has enrolled to take classes.

She looked in good health, smiling occasionally. By her side was Sun Music Production Inc President Masahisa Aizawa who is currently giving her advice on how to progress in her dream of working as a caregiver.

A university spokesperson said that Sakai had come to attend orientation that day, and received a tour of the Nakayama and Yachiyo campuses. There are rumors that she would receive credits through distance learning courses, but the university stated that nothing had been decided yet.

Noriko Sakai (酒井法子, Sakai Noriko; born February 14, 1971) is a J-pop singer and actress. She was born in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. She married in 1998, and has one son born in 1999. She is particularly popular in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Her best-selling single to date is Aoi Usagi (碧いうさぎ?, “blue rabbit”).

Sakai released her debut single, “Otoko no Ko ni Naritai” (男のコになりたい, I Want to Be a Boy) on February 5, 1987, nine days short of her sixteenth birthday. Over 40,000 copies of the single were sold. In the early years of her career, she used the nickname NORI-P (のりピー), although around the mid-1990s she started to distance herself from it.[1][2][3]

She recently re-emerged in the headlines again for a drug scandal in August 2009.

One of The Japanese Best Model Sayo Aizawa, 31, wore a fabulous dress to the “SKY PerfecTV! Awards 2009” held in Tokyo recently and picked up an award on behalf of the fashion TV channel. Subscribers to the satellite broadcaster voted for programs they wanted to see again, and fashion TV won a special award.

Aizawa, who was a host for some fashion TV shows over the last year, was all smiles as she walked down the blue carpet but said she was a little nervous. Reporters then proceeded to ask her about reports she went on a date with former national soccer player Hidetoshi Nakata, 32, to which she replied: “We’ve known each other for about five years now. Unfortunately our relationship is not as exciting as has been reported.”

Oguri’s Surely Someday

JapanTopten news the Japanese popular actor Shun Oguri (26) is making his directorial debut with a film titled “Surely Someday.” Casting rumors have surfaced since then, but the distributor Shochiku finally announced some official details this week.

The story is loosely based on the bonds between Oguri and his friends from high school. The central cast consists of actors Keisuke Koide, Ryo Katsuji, Go Ayano, Ryohei Suzuki, and Tsuyoshi Muro.
